Meghan Trainor recently shared some awesome news on her Twitter account. Her track ‘Lips Are Movin’ has finally gone platinum. Not only that, but ‘All About That Bass’ has gone six times platinum.
“#LipsAreMovin just went platinum and bass just went 6 times platinum today. What an amazing day thank you guys so much!!,” she shared on Twitter.
She also tweeted, “Thank you all for the best year of my life!”
For an album or track to go platinum, it must sell one million units. To go gold, it must sell, 50,000. For ‘All About That Bass’ to go platinum, six times over, it would have needed to sell six million copies!
‘All About That Bass’ was the fifth most viewed video in the world in 2014 on Vevo. How awesome is that!
